What it is
Macrium Reflect creates disk images and partition-level backups for Windows. It supports full, incremental and differential images, restore to dissimilar hardware (ReDeploy) and a bootable WinPE recovery environment.
Problems it solves
- You want a reliable disk image of a Windows machine before a risky change or migration.
- A failed system disk must be restored onto new, possibly different, hardware quickly.
- Windows servers and workstations need scheduled image backups you can trust to restore.
How administrators use it
- Schedule full plus incremental images to a NAS or external disk.
- Build a WinPE rescue USB to restore a machine that will not boot.
- Use ReDeploy to restore an image onto dissimilar hardware.
Strengths & trade-offs
